Chrysanthemum morifolium.
This is a medicinal chrysanthemum strain commonly used in making chrysanthemum tea. Said to benefit liver, improve eye sight and other health benefits.
Commonly used with Goji berry in Chinese beverage culture, this is the way I drink it.
A formula I learned from a commercial tea blend is to combine with lemon verbena leaves to aid the bowel movement. (I tried and it worked for me!)
This is a true hardy perennial chrysanthemum in my garden, much more reliable than show mums to over the winter in my 8B garden. Top will die back during winter months and new shoots sprout in the next spring.
Flower in October, sometimes too late for me to have an abundant harvest, so I would recommend to grow in pots and move them indoor to finish the harvest for zone 8 and colder. Flowers dry/preserve easily. Pinch to encourage bushy growth for flower production and for landscape use.
